The Green is more than providing exquisite new homes for rent near Crawley. We want to be part of a bigger picture, and we want you to be part of it too. That’s why a real sense of community means so much to us. And it’s also why we were so happy to play a role in the Kilnwood Vale Community Fun Day on Saturday 28 July.
Our team took to our stand at the Fun Day to showcase our exceptional rental homes. This wasn’t all we did, however. Our team were more than happy to get right into the swing of things. Our ‘Find The Treasure’ game, for example, gave people the chance to win £100 of gift vouchers by picking a square on a map of Kilnwood Vale.
The Green’s stand also organised a Hook-A-Duck game for the kids to enjoy, with all our young winners receiving a special gold medal for their efforts!
Other stands at the Kilnwood Vale Community Fun Day included a Beer and BBQ tent, a cake sale and general gifts – such as candles and cosmetics. It was a fabulous event, with around 300 residents and guests turning out to have fun in their community. And all monies raised on the day were donated to the Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.
Chris Dias, one of our Resident Services Managers at The Green, said: “The team were very happy to be involved with the Kilnwood Vale Community Fun Day this year. Our ‘Find the Treasure’ stall was a big hit, as well as the ‘Fish the Duck’ game for the kids. We were able to raise £52 towards the Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice in the process.
“It was lovely to see some of our residents helping out on the day too; some even manning stalls and selling products, from soaps to creams and luxury candles. This event is ideal for residents of The Green to feel part of the wider community at Kilnwood Vale. It was great to see such an excellent turnout at the Fun Day too.”
