Deposit-Free Renting at The Green: What Is It?
Our Deposit-Free Renting option is a bit like taking out an insurance policy. Instead of the standard (and expensive) deposit you’d be asked to pay before, this policy covers you up to the amount of the original deposit. It costs between 10% and 18% of the original value of the deposit, which is quite a nice saving to be made when you’re about to move home.
A Deposit-Free policy runs for the period of your tenancy agreement at The Green and it covers all the usual aspects a standard deposit would. If you wish to extend your tenancy, you can renew your policy too. A renewal premium will apply. And if any claims are made when it is time for you to move out, you will pay an excess of 10% of the amount claimed.

Deposit-Free Renting at The Green: Do I Qualify?
To find out if you can take advantage of our Deposit-Free Renting option, you will need to create a RentPassport. It’ll take under a minute to create yours, either via the online portal at www.canopy.rent or using the dedicated iOS app. This creates an instant digital profile; Canopy then taking care of all the normal referencing checks that an agent would do.

Once you complete your RentPassport, it will give you a TrustScore. If yours is above Silver, congratulations – you are eligible to benefit from our Deposit-Free Renting option. You can also access Rent Tracking through your passport; boosting your Experian credit report just by paying rent each month. It’s another way The Green offers more than just homes to rent!
